Overview

What we do, and why it matters

A live Magento store is never finished. Security patches ship on a schedule, dependencies drift, third-party extensions break on upgrades, and traffic spikes find the weak spots. Magento developer support means someone already knows your stack when one of those things happens — so a blocked release or a broken checkout is a phone call, not a scramble to find help.

The work runs on two tracks: proactive maintenance to prevent incidents, and fast, senior-level response when one happens anyway. Most of the stores we support were built by somebody else, and taking one over starts with reading it.

Services

What's included

Security patching

Timely application of Magento security patches and quarterly releases, with a tested rollout so a patch never takes the store down.

Version upgrades

Planned Magento 2 minor and major upgrades — extension compatibility, deprecations, and regression testing handled end to end.

Monitoring & uptime

Uptime, error, and performance monitoring so problems surface before customers report them.

Bug fixes & small improvements

A steady stream of fixes and refinements within agreed hours, so the backlog doesn't pile up.

Emergency incident response

Down store, broken checkout, or failed deploy? Priority response during extended hours to stabilize first, then prevent a repeat.

Health reporting

Regular reviews of security, performance, and technical debt so you can see the state of the platform, not guess at it.

Legacy Magento 1 & OpenMage

Keeping Magento 1.9 and OpenMage LTS stores patched and trading on supported PHP — including the move from stock 1.9 to Composer-managed OpenMage.

Why Emyrix

What you get working with us

A developer who knows your store

The same engineers maintain your platform month to month, so support doesn't start with someone reading your codebase for the first time.

Prevention over firefighting

Proactive patching, monitoring, and upgrades mean fewer 2 a.m. incidents in the first place.

Clear response targets

Agreed response times and real availability, so you know what to expect when something urgent comes up.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who can maintain an existing Magento store that somebody else built?

We can, and that's how most support engagements start. We ask for repository, hosting, and admin access, read the codebase and the extension list, check patch status and the deploy process, and write down what we found. From there it's the same as supporting any other store, with the first few weeks spent on whatever the audit flagged as urgent.

Do you offer month-to-month Magento support?

Yes. We offer retained maintenance plans sized to your store, from essential patching and monitoring up to priority emergency coverage.

Can you help in an emergency if we aren't already a client?

Yes. We take on urgent incidents for stores we haven't worked on before, stabilize the immediate problem, then help prevent a repeat.

Will you keep our Magento version patched and current?

Yes. Security patching and planned version upgrades are core to our maintenance work, applied through staging with regression testing.

What response times can we expect?

Response targets depend on the plan. Priority plans carry same-day and, for emergencies, rapid extended-hours response with agreed targets set in advance.

Do you support Adobe Commerce Cloud?

Yes. Adobe Commerce Cloud has its own deployment pipeline, environment configuration, and Fastly setup, and a good share of support work there is getting those right. We work on Cloud and on self-hosted Adobe Commerce.

Do you handle deployments and hosting problems, or only the code?

Both. A broken deploy, a server out of disk, a cron that stopped running, Redis filling up, an OpenSearch index that won't rebuild — these land on the same desk as the code. We work with your hosting provider where there is one and directly on the server where there isn't.

Do you still support Magento 1 or OpenMage stores?

Yes. Magento 1 lost vendor support in 2020, but OpenMage LTS keeps the codebase patched and running on current PHP through Composer. We maintain stores on both, and we handle the move from stock Magento 1.9 to OpenMage when a store needs supported infrastructure without a full Magento 2 rebuild.
