About us
Working with Emyrix
What does Emyrix do?
Emyrix LLC is a software and web development company based in Massachusetts. We build and maintain web applications, websites, and e-commerce stores — Magento and Adobe Commerce most of all, along with Laravel and React applications, WordPress and WooCommerce sites, Shopware, and MedusaJS — and we take over systems somebody else built as often as we start new ones.
Where is Emyrix located?
Emyrix LLC is based in Massachusetts, USA, and works with e-commerce businesses across the United States — remotely, and on-site when a project calls for it.
Do you work with agencies as well as merchants?
Both. We work directly with merchants, and as an overflow or white-label engineering partner for agencies that need Magento and Adobe Commerce depth on a project.
How does an engagement start?
Most start with a problem statement, a live store, or a blocked release. We scope the work into a practical sequence and define what success looks like before code changes begin — usually beginning with a short call or an audit.
Existing systems
Taking over what somebody else built
Can you take over a website or application somebody else built?
Yes. A large share of our work starts that way — a Magento store, a WordPress site, or a custom PHP application whose developer has moved on. We read the code, deal with what is urgent, and tell you honestly whether it should be kept, modernized, or replaced. A rebuild is not the price of getting help.
What should I do if my developer disappears?
Secure the access first — the code repository, hosting, domain and DNS, and any paid services in their name — then have the code and the deployment setup read by somebody who can tell you what condition it is in. That is what we do in the first week.
How do you decide whether to keep an existing system or rebuild it?
By reading it before recommending anything. We look at what it does for the business, what it runs on, how it is structured, and how much of it is actually used, then cost both paths. Keeping and modernizing wins more often than a rewrite quote suggests.
Magento
Magento & Adobe Commerce
Do you work on Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce?
Both, plus Mage-OS. We help teams pick the right edition for their needs and can move a store between them when it makes sense.
Can you take over an existing Magento store?
Yes. A large share of our work is inheriting an existing codebase, stabilizing it, and building on it. We don't require a rebuild to get involved.
What is the difference between Magento and Adobe Commerce?
Adobe Commerce is the paid edition of Magento. It adds B2B, advanced pricing, content staging, Page Builder, and cloud hosting on top of Magento Open Source. We work in both and advise on which fits.
Support
Support, upgrades & security
Do you offer ongoing Magento support and maintenance?
Yes. We offer retained maintenance — security patching, version upgrades, monitoring, bug fixes, and small improvements — with priority response for urgent incidents, sized to your store.
Can you help in an emergency if we aren't already a client?
Yes. We take on urgent incidents for stores we haven't worked on before — stabilizing the immediate problem first, then helping prevent a repeat.
Can you improve the performance of a slow Magento store?
Yes. Performance optimization is a core service: TTFB and full-page cache tuning, Redis or Valkey and OpenSearch configuration, database and indexer work, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
Platforms
Other platforms & custom work
Do you only work with Magento?
No. Magento and Adobe Commerce are our specialty, but we also build and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce sites, develop on Shopware and MedusaJS, and build custom software with Laravel and React.
Do you work with WordPress and WooCommerce?
Yes. Custom themes and plugins, WooCommerce stores and their integrations, headless WordPress behind a React front end, speed and security work, and taking over sites built by somebody else.
Do you build custom software beyond e-commerce?
Yes. We build custom Laravel applications, API and integration layers, admin tools, and React frontends when off-the-shelf software isn't enough.
Getting started
Pricing & getting started
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope. We give honest estimates with stated assumptions after understanding the problem, rather than a fixed price before we do. Retained support is sized to your store — tell us the goal and we'll come back with a scoped next step.
How do I get started?
Get in touch with the platform, the problem, and the goal. We'll respond with the best next step — an audit, a scoped fix, or a build plan.
